About dialog and menuitem. completed
First thanks for a great project. I listen to you on your podcast often. Thanks for everything.
The program uses "Scott Hanselman":
MainWindow.xaml(5): Title="Baby Smash by Scott Hanselman - http://www.hanselman.com/babysmash"
MainWindow.xaml(55): BabySmash! by Scott Hanselman with many community contributions! - http://www.babysmash.com
Baby Smash also gets installed in the Start Menu under "Scott Hanselman", it might be better to create a "BabySmash" folder instead?
I think that a project which is soliciting help from the community should have an about dialog which names the programmer and contributions. Also reducing clutter on the main window for a better full view.
I would like to again thank you Scott for making this work and releasing it to the public.
Good points!

Support the Mac completed
Our household has recently switched to use a Macbook Pro exclusively. I would love for my daughter to use your baby smash! game, but it appears to only be a Windows application as of now. Would a port to Mac be available in the near future?
Actually there *IS* a Mac version. It's our "sister" application, developed by another developer named Laura Dickey. The app is "ALPHABABY" and you can download it for free here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/kids_learning/alphababy.html

have an option for the circles to fade away like the shapes completed
You mean, the mouse drag circles? Like fade away just after they are put down? Like a mouse trail?

Check for updates in the background completed
When my toddler wants to play, he want's to play NOW. Waiting for the ClickOnce to check for available updates on startup makes the startup a bit slow, so it would be better to check for updates in the background and either notify on exit or on next startup (preferably exit as this is probably the time when toddlers have found something new and interesting and (s)he doesn't care if BabySmash is updating :)
Good point. I'll do some testing and try to switch to checking on exit. Would you prefer that, or check when the Options Dialog is shown?

add option to NOT clear items if all images are set to fade completed
If the key (& maybe mouse) images are set to fade away, there's no need to jarringly clear the screen...

Make mouse buttons do something completed
Um...they do....what specifically are you thinking would be cool? Right now the mouse buttons play music and let you drag around. Do you want the middle and left to just put down shapes also?

Have the options only show up on first use or update completed
In order to hot key a button on a customizable keyboard (e.g. replace the search button for babysmash), it would be good to remove the option screen from being the first thing that shows up, unless it's the first time the application runs.
Good point. Fixed.

Possible interesting characters: ☺☻♥♦♣♠•○♂♀♪♫☼
I'll add support for any font, and that will indirect accomplish this.
